    >  AC       Agence comptable (Accounting Agency)
                At the beginning of each academic year, students pay the amounts for which
                they are liable: registration fees, administrative fees and civil liability insurance.
                Administrative registration at ENSTA Paris is conditioned by payment of these fees,
                and formalised by the issuing of a student card. Students who come within the
                framework of a partnership are not required to pay registration fees.
    >  AMPHI    Short for "Amphitheatre". Refers to: 1. the largest lecture rooms halls or 2. the
                presentation sessions that take place in these rooms (e.g. Amphi DFR).
    >  ANEF     Administration Numérique pour les Étrangers en France (Digital Administration for
                Foreigners in France). This is the online portal which allows you to apply for a visa.
                You can follow the progress of your application on your personal account.
    >  APL      L’Aide Personnalisée au Logement (Personalised Housing allowance). This benefit
                allows its recipients to reduce their housing expenses. You can apply via the CAF.

    >  ASSIDUITÉ  Attendance is mandatory at ENSTA Paris. Any absence must be justified (e.g.
    (ATTENDANCE) illness).
    >  AST      Admis Sur Titres (Admitted on the basis of equivalent qualifications) are students
                who enter the engineering programme after the 1st or 2nd year, on the basis of a
                French or foreign university diploma.
    >  Banque   When you arrive, you must open an account with a bank in France. To make it
    (Bank)      easier, the BDE has made an agreement with the Société Générale branch (4 rue de
                Paris, 91400 Orsay). More information on page 20.
    >  BDA      The Bureau Des Arts will help you discover the exceptional and varied architecture
                of Parisian opera houses, experience opera or visit the most beautiful museums
                and other artistic activities.
    >  BDE      The Bureau Des Élèves is the elected organisation which represents students and
                organises key events such as the Week-end d’intégration (WEI) or school parties at
                the school (bde@ensta-paris.fr).
    >  BDS      The Bureau Des Sports is an organisation elected by the students whose mission
                is to get you involved in as many sports as possible at the lowest possible cost.
                These range from university sports to more unusual activities such as paragliding
                or windsurfing. It allows you to attend tennis, football and rugby matches at
                unbeatable prices.
