DO YOU SPEAK ENSTA PARIS ?





















    >  PRE     Le Projet de REcherche. The Research Project is a period of research in a field
               chosen by the student. It lasts for a minimum of two months (often extended to
               four months by taking advantage of the summer period) at the end of the 2nd
               year. It can be carried out in an academic or industrial environment.
    > PRÉFORMA- The revision week offers courses for French and foreign ASTs and consists of an
    TION       accelerated review of several courses studied in the 1st year of ENSTA Paris, in
               mathematics, electronics, computer science and mechanics.
    >  PROMO   Each student is attached to a “Promo" class which bears the number of the year
               of theoretical graduation from the school. The ASTs admitted in 1A, who will enter
               the school year 2023, will belong to the « Promo » 2026. ASTs admitted in 2A will
               belong to the “Promo" 2025.
    >  RATTRA-  A student who gets a grade of less than 10 in a course is allowed to take a re-
    PAGE (REME- take examination if they attended courses regularly during the year. The grade
    DIAL EXAM)  obtained in the remedial examination is limited to 10 / 20. If the student has been
               absent for medical reasons and provides medical evidence, they will take an
               uncapped replacement exam.
    >  RER B   The Réseau Express Régional (Regional Express Network) : commonly known as
               RER, is a rail network of public transport serving a highly urbanised region. The
               network is divided into 5 lines A, B, C, D, E. Line B, which serves Palaiseau, crosses
               the Parisian agglomeration along a north-east / south-west axis, with several
               junctions. It links Charles-de-Gaulle 2 TGV airport and Mitry - Claye to the north-
               east to Robinson and Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse in the south, passing through the
               heart of Paris.
    >  RESPONSA-Civil liability corresponds to the obligation to repair damage caused to others. This
    BILITÉ CIVILE  damage may result, for example, from carelessness (e.g.: you open your umbrella in
               the street and injure a passer-by in the face). It is imperative to be covered by civil
               liability insurance. In the event of unintentional injuries to a person, your insurance
               will compensate the victim.
    >  SEMAINE  This week consists of a study trip during which 3rd year students are taught
    DE MILIEU  about an industrial environment and visit laboratories and companies in the sector.
    >  SIF     Stage Intensif de Français. The Intensive French Course organised for international
               students aims to teach French, both written and spoken, in order to be able to
               communicate in most situations and to follow ENSTA Paris courses. This course
               includes daily language lessons (oral and written expression) for a period of 4 to 6
               weeks.
